About the Owner

My name is Rosalynne Jones. I received my undergraduate degree at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University and my master’s degree from Trinity University DC. This is my story:

The year was 2012, I got a tear-filled phone call that I hoped to avoid. My childhood home was up for foreclosure. My mom, a business owner, had owned the home for over 17 years but had a tough year in business and fell behind on her mortgage. Although I had offered to help before this point, she had initially refused in the hopes to work things out with the lender. With no other options on the table, she accepted my help to save the house.

Using my lifelong love of numbers and bookkeeping experience gained from my first job out of college, I took over my mom’s business finances – initially using spreadsheets to track every dime and then transitioning to QuickBooks.

This takeover birthed my side hustle, turned business, Finding the Dime.

Since that time, I have effectively helped many consultants and contractors grow their businesses by ensuring the companies financial books, balance sheets, and other critical financial reports are in order, helping them qualify for loans, private investments, grants, and most importantly tax filing.

I am very passionate about seeing small businesses succeed and I love playing my part, in the background, in the overall success of a company.
